Chinese Silver Chatelaine Needle Case
An antique Chinese repousse silver needle container for hanging on a chatelaine, c. late Qing Dynasty or early Republic Period. This piece is decorated with figural scenes and sporting a bat pendant charm. The case slides up to reveal the actual holder complete with textile fragments used to keep everything in place.
Silver alloy exterior, chain, and pendant with silver plated inner holder. Condition is generally good for its age, note wear to silver plating on the inner component (see photos).
